South Korea Has $8.26 Billion Current Account Surplus

South Korea had a current account surplus of $8.26 billion in September, the Bank of Korea said on Tuesday.

That followed the downwardly revised $5.28 billion in August (originally $5.51 billion).

The goods account surplus widened to $10.76 billion, compared to $7.05 billion in August, the bank said.

The services account deficit widened as well, to $2.54 billion from $1.45 billion the month before, owing to deteriorations in the transport and the use of intellectual property accounts.
