The Malaysia manufacturing sector in Malaysia continued to contract in October, and at a faster pace, the latest survey from Nikkei showed on Tuesday with a manufacturing PMI score of 47.2.
That's down from 48.6 in September, and it slides beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, output declined at a sharper rate, driven by the quickest fall in new orders since November 2015.
Also, input price inflation eased to a 15-month low.
