New Zealand's commodity prices rose for the sixth consecutive month in October, the results of a survey by ANZ showed Thursday.
The ANZ commodity price index increased 0.7 percent month-over-month in October, much slower than the 5.1 percent climb in the previous month.
Dairy prices grew 1.5 percent in October following a big surge that started in June. At the same time, prices of the meat and fibre category registered a slight decline of 0.4 percent. All the other sectors experienced fairly steady during the month.
The NZD ANZ commodity price index went up 1.3 percent from September, when it climbed by 3.9 percent.
On an annual basis, the NZD ANZ commodity price index fell 5.3 percent in October, faster than prior month's 5.0 percent decrease.
