Malaysia's industrial production growth eased in September, after accelerating in the previous month, data from the Department of Statistics showed Friday.
Industrial production rose 3.2 percent year-over-year in September, slower than August's 4.9 percent climb.
Among sectors, manufacturing production grew 4.0 percent annually in September and output in the electricity sector advanced by 7.1 percent. At the same time, mining sector dropped marginally by 0.1 percent.
In an another report, the statistical office revealed that the manufacturing sales value rose 1.1 percent in September from a year ago. Total employees engaged in manufacturing sector increased 0.2 percent and salaries and wages climbed by 7.5 percent.
