Singapore's gross domestic product advanced 1.1 percent on year in the third quarter of 2016, the Ministry of Trade and Industry said in Thursday's final revision.
That was up from the October 13 estimate that suggested a 0.6 percent increase following the 2.0 percent gain in the second quarter.
On a quarterly annualized basis, the Singapore economy contracted 2.0 percent. That also was an upward revision from the 4.1 percent decline in last month's estimate; GDP added 0.1 percent in Q2.
Upon the release of the data, the MTI said it expected the Singapore economy to expand between 1.0 and 1.5 percent in 2016 and between 1.0 and 3.0 percent in 2017.
