The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development said the unemployment rate declined marginally in October.
The unemployment rate dropped to 6.2 percent in October from 6.3 percent in September. This was 1.9 percentage points below the January 2013 peak.
Across the OECD area, unemployment declined by 10.2 million from January 2013 to 38.8 million.
The euro area unemployment rate declined by 0.1 percentage point to 9.8 percent in October. Beyond Eurozone, the unemployment rate remained stable in Canada at 7 percent and at 3 percent in Japan.
In the United States, the jobless rate eased to 4.9 percent from 5 percent.
Data showed that the OECD unemployment rate for youth aged between 15 and 24 held steady at 12.8 percent in October.
