S. Korea Money Supply Growth Accelerates In October

South Korea's money supply growth accelerated in October, after easing in the previous month, preliminary figures from the Bank of Korea showed Wednesday.

M2, a broad measure of money supply rose 7.1 percent year-over-year in October, faster than September's 6.9 percent climb.

On a monthly basis, M2 money supply increased at a stable pace of 0.3 percent in October.

The annual growth in liquidity eased to 7.6 percent in October from 7.9 percent a month ago. Meanwhile, liquidity of financial institutions grew at a faster of 8.1 percent, following a 7.8 percent hike in September.
