Greece's retail sales decreased for the second straight month in January, though marginally, preliminary figures from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Friday.
The volume of retail sales edged down 0.1 percent year-over-year in January, following a 1.0 percent decline in December.
Excluding automotive fuel, retail sales dropped 0.3 percent, while sales of food products rose by 0.3 percent.
On a monthly basis, retail sales increased a seasonally adjusted 0.1 percent in January.
However, retail trade turnover rebounded 1.4 percent annually in January, after a 1.3 percent fall in the prior month.
