Greece's industrial production growth accelerated markedly in February, preliminary data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Monday.
Industrial production surged a working-day-adjusted 10.8 percent year-over-year in February, well above the 7.1 percent rise in January. It was the fifth month of increase in a row.
Among sectors, electricity production expanded the most by 31.7 percent annually in February, followed by mining and quarrying output, which grew 6.1 percent. Manufacturing production registered a growth of 6.1 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial production rebounded 5.9 percent from January, when it fell by 2.6 percent.
