Malaysia's producer price inflation eased for the second straight month in April, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Wednesday.
The producer price index for local production climbed 7.5 percent year-over-year in April, slower than the 9.0 percent spike in March.
The price index for mining sector grew the most by 32.0 percent annually in April, followed by manufacturing sector with 5.9 percent rise.
On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.9 percent from March, when it decreased by 1.5 percent. It was the second successive monthly fall.
