European Economics Preview: UK Industrial Output Data Due

Industrial production and foreign trade reports from the UK are due on Friday, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

The election results showed that the UK braces for hung parliament. Prime Minister Theresa May lost her parliamentary majority.

At 2.45 am ET, Insee releases France's industrial output data. Production is forecast to rise 0.2 percent on month in April following a 2 percent rise.

At 3.00 am ET, the Czech consumer prices are due. Inflation is seen at 2.2 percent in May versus 2 percent in April.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics publishes UK industrial and construction output data. Economists forecast industrial production to grow 0.7 percent on month in April versus a 0.5 percent drop in March.

In the meantime, UK foreign trade figures are also due. The visible trade deficit is seen narrowing to GBP 12 billion from GBP 13.4 billion in March.
