Malaysia's producer price inflation eased in June after accelerating in the prior month, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.
The producer price index for local production climbed 6.4 percent year-over-year in June, slower than the 8.0 percent rise in May.
The price index for mining sector grew the most by 10.2 percent annually in June, followed by a 6.6 percent increase in manufacturing sector.
On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 1.1 percent from May, when it decreased by 0.2 percent.
