A sharp rise in the price of a cryptocurrency is usually called MOON or mooning in the crypto lingua franca.
"An altcoin is going to the MOON " simply means there is a strong spike in its price.
Similar to most terms in crypto slang, this too cannot be taken for face value.
Here is an example for the use of MOON in a reddit post. "Bitconnect still has a higher marketcap than a lot of worthy coins. What's going on? Could it rise again if bitcoin MOONS ? Who's still buying it?"
