Hungary's employee wage growth accelerated unexpectedly in June, figures from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday.
Gross earnings advanced 11.2 percent year-over-year in June, faster than the 10.9 percent rise in May.
Meanwhile, economists had expected the growth to moderate to 10.0 percent.
Net earnings, which excludes the family tax benefit, rose the same 11.2 percent in June from a year earlier.
