Chinese internet giants Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent have blocked cryptocurrency-related activities on their platforms. The move comes as the regulators in the country are intensifying crackdown on cryptocurrencies.
Internet search engine Baidu has shut down at least two crypto-related chat rooms, known as Post Bar services, including Digital Currency Bar and Virtual Currency Bar. The notice reportedly showed the online forums are temporarily closed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.
