The Singapore stock market on Thursday snapped the two-day slide in which it had lost almost 20 points or 0.6 percent. The Straits Times Index now rests just beneath the 3,230-point plateau although it's likely to see renewed consolidation again on Friday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative on economic growth concerns. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.
