California Votes 'No' In Election To Recall Governor Gavin Newsom

A Republican effort to remove California Governor Gavin Newsom from office failed after the majority of voters in the state voted "No" in the election to recall the Democratic leader, according to projections by US media.

While more than 65 percent of the voters voted against removing him from office in the high turnout in Tuesday's election, only around 34 percent were in favor of the recall, reports said.
