(LWLG) are rising over 10% Thursday morning, after the company announced the achievement of world-record performance for a polymer modulator, as demonstrated in an optical transmission experiment by ETH Zurich, using Perkinamine chromophores and Polariton Technologies Ltd.'s newest plasmonic EO modulator, a silicon-photonics-based plasmonic racetrack modulator.
The stock, which has been trading between $0.56 and $17.24 for the past one year, is currently trading at $11.16, up $1.03 or 10.17%, with trading volume of over 234K versus an average volume of 721K shares.
