Germany's factory orders growth exceeded expectations in December underpinned by robust domestic demand, data from Destatis revealed on Friday.
Factory orders grew 2.8 percent on a monthly basis, but slower than the 3.6 percent expansion seen in November. Economists had forecast the growth rate to ease sharply to 0.5 percent. This was the second consecutive rise in orders.
Excluding major orders, factory orders were up 2.9 percent.
