After showing a lack of direction early in the session, stocks continue to turn in a lackluster performance in afternoon trading on Thursday. The major averages have spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line.
Currently, the major averages continue to turn in a mixed performance. While the Dow is up 107.66 points or 0.4 percent at 31,242.75, the S&P 500 is down 4.06 points or 0.1 percent at 3,941.95 and the Nasdaq is down 39.49 points or 0.3 percent at 11,680.19.
