ams-OSRAM AG (AUKUF.PK), an optical sensor solutions provider, Friday reported net result of 82 million euros loss or 0.18 euros per share for the fourth quarter, lower than 147 million euros or 0.56 euros per share loss in the same quarter a year ago.
Excluding special items, adjusted net results was a loss of 16 million euros or 0.03 euros per share compared with profit of 29 million euros or 0.11 euros per share last year.
Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes or EBIT was 62 million euros.
Revenue for the quarter declined to 908 million euros from 1.177 billion euros in the previous year, primarily on deceased demand.
Looking ahead, the company said in a statement, "In terms of business dynamics, ams OSRAM expects sustained weakness - partly driven by inventory corrections - in the industrial and medical segments during the first half."
ams OSRAM expects first-quarter revenue to be in the range of 800 million euros- 900 million euros.
