Synectics Full-year Profit, Revenue Rise

Synectics plc (SNX.L), a provider of advanced security and surveillance systems, Tuesday reported profit before tax from continuing operations of 2.653 million pounds for the full year, higher than 361000 pounds in the previous year, mainly driven by growth in revenue.

Excluding one-time items, underlying profit before tax increased to 2.96 million pounds from 1.02 million pounds last year.

Profit for the year attributable to equity holders of the parent company from continuing operations rose to 2.163 million pounds or 12.8p per hare from 639000 pounds or 3.8p per share a year ago.

Underlying profit was 2.4 million pounds or 14.2p per share, up from 1.17 million pounds or 6.9p per share last year.

Revenue for the year increased 26 percent to 49.13 million pounds from 39.12 million pounds in the previous year.

The company's Board has recommended a final dividend of 3p per share, to be paid on May 3 to shareholders on the register as on April 12.

Looking ahead, Paul Webb, Chief Executive Officer commented, "To date in FY 2024, the Company has seen continued sales momentum, driven by a robust order book and a strong pipeline of new business opportunities, underpinning the Board's confidence in the Company's outlook for the medium term."
