France-headquartered software business Dassault Systemes SE (DASTY) on Thursday announced estimated financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024, that revealed an increase in revenue as well as profit.
Income before income taxes increased to 354.2 million euros, from 316.8 million euros in the first quarter of the prior year.
Attributable net income stood at 285.7 million euros or 0.21 euro per share as compared with 255.4 million euros or 0.19 euro per share in the first quarter of the previous year.
Excluding items, earnings stood at 397.2 million euros or 0.30 euro per share as compared with 367.8 million euros or 0.28 euro per share in the prior-year period.
Total revenue increased 5 percent to 1.5 billion euros, from 1.43 billion euros in the first quarter of the previous year. On a constant currency basis, the growth was 6 percent.
For the second quarter, the company expects total revenue between 1.525 billion and 1.555 billion euros.
For fiscal 2024, the company sees revenue of 6.35 billion-6.425 billion euros. For the full year, the company reaffirmed total revenue growth between 8% and 10%.
Earnings per share is expected between 0.30 and 0.31 euro in the second quarter.
For fiscal 2024, excluding one-time items, EPS is seen between 1.29 euro and 1.31 euro, up 10% to 12% in constant currencies.
