Emirates Group Full Year Profit Spikes

UAE flag carrier Emirates Group Monday reported a 71 percent surge in full year profit as revenues increased 15 percent from the prior year.

The annual profit was AED 18.7 billion or $5.1 billion, up from AED 10.9 billion or $3.0 billion last year.

Revenue for the period increased to AED 137.3 billion or $37.4 billion.

Emirates SkyCargo reported 18 percent increase in goods volume and carried 2.2 million tonnes of goods, compared to the previous year.
Revenue for the cargo division was AED 13.6 billion or $ 3.7 billion. Cargo yield per Freight Tonne Kilometre declined by 32 percent, returning to pre-pandemic marketplace levels.

Emirates Flight Catering revenues were AED 970 million $264 million. MMI/ELR revenue surged 18 percent to AED 2.9 billion or $796 million.

Total passengers carried by Emirates climbed 19 percent to 51.9 million passengers, while seat capacity grew by 21 percent. The airline reported a Passenger Seat Factor of 79.9 percent, rising from 79.5 percent last year. Passenger yield declined 2 percent to 36.6 fils per Revenue Passenger Kilometre.


Sheikh Ahmed of Emirates said: "Emirates will receive delivery of 10 new A350 aircraft in 2024-25, adding to our fleet mix and supporting the next phase of its network growth."
