Shares of SunPower Corporation (SPWR) are gaining over 55% on Tuesday morning as meme stocks are surging amid return of trader "Roaring Kitty" to social media.
SPWR is currently trading at $4.3095, up $1.5595 or 56.8021%, on the Nasdaq. The stock opened its trading at $5.0400 after closing Monday at $2.7500. The stock has traded between $1.7700 and $12.1800 in the past 52-week period.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration on Tuesday announced new tariff rates for Chinese imports. The import tax on Chinese solar cells has been doubled from 25% to 50%.
