The Malaysia stock market has moved lower in two of three trading days since the end of the three-day winning streak in which it had advanced almost 25 points or 1.7 percent. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just beneath the 1,620-point plateau although it's likely bounce higher again on Monday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is cautiously optimistic, with technology shares expected to lead the way higher. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
