After ending last Friday's trading little changed, stocks may continue to turn in a lackluster performance in early trading on Monday. The major index futures are currently pointing to a roughly flat open for the markets, with the S&P 500 futures down by less than a tenth of a percent.
Traders may stick to the sidelines as they take a moment to assess the recent activity in the markets and the near-term outlook.
