The Irish State has reduced its stake in AIB Group plc (A5G.F) by nearly 5 percent, Morgan Stanley quoted the Minister for Finance, Jack Chambers TD as saying.
The stake in AIB now stands reduced to 25.5 percent or 617.3 million shares from 30.5 percent or 738.3 million shares.
The disposal was effected by placing shares with institutional investors at a price of 4.90 euros per share.
BofA Securities, Citi and Morgan Stanley acted as Joint Bookrunners in connection with the Placing.
