CASI Stock Jumps 40% On China Business Buyout Proposal

Shares of CASI Pharmaceuticals Inc. (CASI) surged 40% to $4.99 in premarket trading today, in response to a preliminary non-binding offer to purchase the company's entire China-based operations.

On June 21, 2024, Dr. Wei-Wu He, Chairman of the Board and CEO, submitted a proposal to acquire the entire business operations of the company in China, along with all license-in, distribution, and related rights in Asia (excluding Japan) for its pipeline products.
