COSCIENS Biopharma Inc. (CSCI) (CSCI.TO), a specialty biopharmaceutical company, has an upcoming clinical trial readout for Macimorelin that is worth monitoring this quarter.
Macimorelin, an oral drug was approved by the FDA in December 2017 and by the European Commission in January 2019 for the diagnosis of adult growth hormone deficiency (AGHD), a condition where the patient does not have enough growth hormone. It is not used to treat patients with the condition. Macimorelin is approved for marketing under the brand name GHRYVELIN in the European Economic Area and as Macrilen in the United States, South Korea and Israel.
