Promising Endometrial Cancer Trial Data Puts Acrivon In Focus

Endometrial cancer, a type of uterine cancer, develops when cells in the endometrium, i.e., the inner lining of the uterus, begin to grow out of control. It primarily affects post-menopausal women. The American Cancer Society estimates that about 13,250 women will die from cancers of the uterus in 2024. Treatment options for endometrial cancer vary based on its stage. If caught early, it can often be effectively managed with surgery alone or in combination with radiation or chemotherapy. However, the prognosis is considerably poorer for those whose cancer has metastasized or returned after initial treatment.
