Origin Enterprises Annual Earnings, Revenue Slip

Origin Enterprises Plc (OGN.L), an agriculture services provider, on Tuesday reported a decline in earnings for the full year, reflecting a fall in revenue and higher operating costs.

For the 12-month period to July 31, the company reported a pre-tax income of 52.394 million euros, lower than 67.636 million euros, recorded last year.

Net profit stood at 40.428 million euros or 35.21 cents per share, a drop from prior year's 51.032 million euros or 43.31 cents per share.

Excluding items, net earnings were at 55.191 million euros or 48.06 cents per share as against 62.638 million euros or 53.16 cents per share a year ago.

Operating profit declined to 70.960 million euros from 80.599 million euros in the previous year.

Operating costs were 281.150 million euros, higher than 261.272 million euros a year ago.

Revenue was 2.045 billion euros, lesser than 2.456 billion euros in 2023, reflecting lower global feed and fertilizer raw materials pricing.

Origin Enterprises will pay a final dividend of 13.65 cent per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 16.80 cents per share.

The final dividend will be paid on February 14 to shareholders on the register as of January 24, 2025.
