Veteran emcee Kendrick Lamar was the big winner at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2024, taking home 8 awards.
Lamar dominated the competition by winning Lyricist of the Year; Hip Hop Artist of the Year; Song of the Year for "Not Like Us"; Video Director of the Year with Dave Free for "Not Like Us"; Best Collaboration for "Like That," featuring Metro Boomin and Future; Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse; Impact Track, and Best Hip Hop Video awards.
The West Coast artist was nominated for 11 awards.
Travis Scott accepted the I Am Hip Hop award from actress and singer Teyana Taylor.
Nicki Minaj won Hip Hop Album Of The Year award for Pink Friday 2.
Missy Elliott was adjudged Best Live Performer.
Sexyy Red won the award for Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist.
Rapper, actor, and executive producer Fat Joe hosted the BET Hip Hop Awards 2024 - for the third time - on Tuesday, kicking off the show with a fiery performance of his smash single "Make It Rain" alongside DJ Spinatik.
The evening also featured electrifying performances from some of the genre's biggest stars, including Trina, Yung Miami, Juicy J and 2 Chainz.
