Acute lymphocytic leukemia, or ALL, is a rare type of blood cancer that impacts lymphocytes, a kind of white blood cell. While ALL can occur in individuals of any age, it is more prevalent in children under 15 and adults over 50. There are two main types of ALL, based on the type of blood cells involved - B-cell ALL and T-cell ALL. B-cell ALL, which constitutes 75% to 80% of cases, affects B-cells that produce antibodies and help combat infections. T-cell ALL, on the other hand, targets T-cells that eliminate pathogens and assist other immune system cells.
