Trainline Plc (TRN.L), a rail and coach travel platform selling tickets, on Thursday reported higher pre-tax profit for the half year, with double-digit growth in revenues, driven by higher net ticket sales and enhanced monetization.
The company's profit before tax rose to 46.5 million pounds from last year's 18.13 million pounds. Earnings per share increased to 7.32 pence from 2.87 pence.
Adjusted EBITDA for the period was up 44 percent to 82 million pounds. Operating profit surged 117 percent to 49 million pounds.
For the half year, Group net ticket sales were up 14 percent year on year to 3.0 billion pounds. Revenue increased 17 percent to 229 million pounds from last year's 197 million pounds.
Looking ahead for fiscal 2025, Trainline said, it expects to generate net ticket sales growth of 12-14 percent and revenue growth of 11-13 percent.
