Moonpig Group Posts Loss In H1; Revenue Up 3.8%

Moonpig Group plc (MOON.L) posted a first half loss before tax of 33.3 million pounds compared to profit of 18.9 million pounds, last year. Loss per share was 10.8 pence compared to profit of 4.0 pence. Adjusted profit before tax rose 9.0% to 27.3 million pounds. Adjusted earnings per share was 5.9 pence compared to 5.4 pence. For the six months ended 31 October 2024, revenue was 158.0 million pounds, up 3.8% from prior year.

Moonpig Group stated that current trading remains in line with its expectations. The Group's expectations for full year revenue remain unchanged.

With respect to the medium-term, the Group continues to target double digit percentage annual revenue growth. The Group increased medium-term target for adjusted EBITDA margin from a range of 25% to 26% to a range of 25% to 27%. The Group continues to target growth in adjusted earnings per share at a mid-teens percentage rate.
