Mild Consolidation Anticipated For KOSPI

The South Korea stock market headed south again on Thursday, one day after snapping the two-day slide in which it had retreated almost 40 points or 1.4 percent. The KOSPI now rests just above the 2,435-point plateau and it may tick lower again on Friday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets remains murky on concerns over the outlook for interest rates. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and flat, and the Asian markets are expected to follow the latter lead.
