Hudbay Minerals Inc. (HBM), a copper-focused mining company, Thursday said the Chair of its Board Stephen A. Lang has stepped down due to health reasons. The company has appointed David S. Smith, current independent director, as Chair , effective January 1.
Smith, with more than 40 years of financial and executive leadership experience in the mining sector, joined the Board as an independent director in May 2019.
