Longtime Taking Back Sunday drummer Mark O'Connell has announced his departure from the band.
Announcing his departure from Taking Back Sunday after 24 years in an Instagram post O'Connell said, "I didn't always feel the support I needed from those I thought of as brothers."
"After nearly 25 years as the drummer of Taking Back Sunday, I want to confirm that I am no longer with the band," he continued. "It's taken me some time to address this. Thank you for your patience as I've reflected on how to share my story."
He then thanked the band's fans, calling them "the heartbeat of TB."
O'Connell noted that "creative differences made it hard to move forward together."
Mark O'Connell's departure leaves behind Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals) and Shaun Cooper (bass guitar), as the rock band's remaining members.
