Since there are no approved ophthalmic formulations of Bevacizumab, clinicians wishing to treat retinal patients with Bevacizumab have to use unapproved repackaged IV Bevacizumab provided by compounding pharmacies. This approach carries risks of contamination and inconsistent potency and availability.
