CBS will air the MTV Video Music Awards for the first time, live from UBS Arena in New York on September 7, and streaming on Paramount+.
The three-hour CBS broadcast will be simulcast on MTV, while a one-hour live pre-show will be broadcast across Paramount Media Networks.
The 2024 VMAs delivered its biggest multi-network audience in four years and ranked as the most social VMAs in show history, with 66.7 million social interactions.
For more than four decades, the VMAs have been a pop culture juggernaut, celebrating the best music videos of the year with history-making performances, iconic tributes, culture-defining moments and the biggest surprises from the world's biggest superstars.
Nominations, performers and additional details will be announced closer to the show.
The 2025 VMAs are executive produced by Bruce Gillmer and Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic.
