Aker Solutions Q1 Net Profit Slips Despite Rise In Revenue; Lifts Annual Revenue Outlook

Aker Solutions ASA (AKRTF), a Norwegian provider of energy infrastructure with a focus on oil, gas, wind, and other industries, on Wednesday reported first-quarter net profit of NOK 654 million, or NOK 1.38 per basic share, less than NOK 894 million, or NOK 1.82 per basic share, posted for the same period last year.

Excluding items, earnings were NOK 640 million, or NOK 1.35 per share, compared with NOK 690 million, or NOK 1.40 per share in 2024.

Net income before tax stood at NOK 840 million as against the prior year's NOK 1.123 billion. EBIT improved to NOK 853 million from NOK 700 million last year. EBITDA was NOK 1.203 billion, higher than NOK 967 million in 2024. Revenue was NOK 14.197 billion, up from NOK 11.273 billion a year ago.

Earlier this week, the Annual General Meeting approved a cash dividend of NOK 3.30 per share, which will be paid on May 8.

Looking ahead, for the full year, based on the secured backlog and market activity, Aker Solutions is now expects revenue of over NOK 55 billion against its previous guidance of NOK 50 billion to NOK 55 billion. Excluding net income from OneSubsea, the company still anticipates annual underlying EBITDA margin to be in the range of 7 to 7.5 percent.
