Cemtrex Gains Over 22% On New $1.8 Mln Contract

Shares of Cemtrex, Inc. (CETX) gained over 22% on Tuesday morning after the nano-cap company said it secured a $1.8 million contract for major wastewater treatment plant upgrade.

CETX is currently trading at $2.0589, up $0.3739 or 22.3078%, on a large volume of 8.2 million shares, above average volume of 122 thousand, on the Nasdaq. The stock opened its trading at $1.8300 after closing Friday at $1.6850. The stock has traded between $1.1410 and $1,176.0000 in the past 52-week period.

Advanced Industrial Services (AIS), a subsidiary of Cemtrex, has been awarded a $1.84 million contract by the City of Lancaster to upgrade critical infrastructure at its Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (AWWTP).

AIS will replace process mechanical and electrical systems, rehabilitate clarifier structures, and modernize control systems for four primary clarifiers in the South Train of the City's AWWTP. The project is scheduled to be completed within one year of commencement during the City's 2025-2026 fiscal year.
