Sony Music Vision Announces Documentary On BLACKPINK'S LISA

Sony Music Vision has announced the start of production on a documentary on world-renowned rapper, singer, dancer, actress and style icon LISA in partnership with LLOUD CO./RCA Records and Tremolo Productions.

The making of the new film was announced during a conversation with its director Sue Kim at Sony Music Vision's Inaugural Content Showcase.

The film will follow one year in the life of the BLACKPINK artist, as she takes time away from the most successful girl group in K-Pop history to pursue her own solo journey. LISA has already had a very busy 2025, releasing her debut solo album, Alter Ego, which charted No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart and in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Additionally, she starred in the HBO Original series, "The White Lotus," and made her solo debut at Coachella.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Sue Kim, the untitled project will give fans exclusive access to LISA with an in-depth look at the artist's groundbreaking career and creative vision outside of the world-renowned group, BLACKPINK. Most recently, Kim directed A24's award-winning documentary, The Last of the Sea Women.

"This has been such an incredible year and I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to capture these special moments on film and share the experience with my fans," said LISA. "Working with Sue Kim has been such a joy. We've been all around the world together and I know this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come."

"Following Lisa on this transformative and thrilling year has been a true honor and a cinematic gift," said Kim. "There have been so many moments on her journey that I think will surprise people and give a glimpse into her world that no one's ever seen before. I'm excited for viewers to watch the film and witness this extraordinary moment in her life."

At its inaugural content showcase, Sony Music Vision presented the company's slate of film and television projects, and screened previews of highly anticipated releases — including films about Barbra Streisand, LISA, Oasis, and Elvis Presley.
