Stocks are likely to move to the upside in early trading on Thursday, adding to the strong gains posted in the previous session. The major index futures are currently pointing to a higher open for the markets, with the S&P 500 futures up by 0.6 percent.
The upward momentum on Wall Street comes after President Donald Trump announced a 100 percent tariff on imports of semiconductors and chips but said companies that are "building in the United States" would be exempt.
