Jelly Roll And Marshmello Join Forces On New Single 'Holy Water'

Grammy Award-nominated artists Marshmello and Jelly Roll have teamed up for a new single, "Holy Water." The song arrived on Thursday (August 7), via Mercury Records/Big Loud Records.

"Holy Water" sees Marshmello incorporating 12-sting guitar, baritone guitar, and mandolin, challenging himself to craft a classic county soundscape.

The song also features Jelly Roll's striking and soulful vocals. "One tear for the brokenhearted, pout out a little holy water," he sings in the hook.

"It's really heartfelt. This is one of the most emotional songs I've ever released," Marshemello said. "It's about losing a loved one. Unfortunately, a lot of us can relate to that. When I showed the initial idea to Jelly Roll and told him the story, he loved it."

"He's an open book, and it was really great to see how it resonated," he added. "It inspired me to go in even more on the production and get creative with the country elements. He definitely brought it home to where it is now,"
