Asian Markets Trade Mostly Higher

Asian stock markets are trading mostly higher on Tuesday, following the broadly positive cues from European markets and lack of cues from Wall Street overnight, as major currencies in the region strengthened against the US dollar. The Australian stock market is trading modestly lower on Tuesday, extending the losses in the previous two sessions, despite the broadly positive cues from European markets and lack of cues from Wall Street overnight. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 is staying below the 8,950 level, with weakness in energy and technology stocks.
