Perot Systems Corp. (PER) on Monday revealed the promotion of Russell Freeman from his post of chief financial officer, to chief operating officer, with John Harper, currently vice president and director of corporate development, set to replace him as chief financial officer. In addition, the company noted that Peter Altabef, president and CEO, will expand his responsibilities and join the executive committee of the board of directors. The moves will become effective August 15. The company noted that Freeman, in his new role, would provide leadership for all of the company's global business operations and have primary responsibility for executing the company's business strategy, while Harper is slated to oversee the company's global financial functions including financial planning, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, treasury, tax, accounting, and new business pricing.
