Gossamer Bio Inc. (GOSS) faces a major clinical catalyst this month as data for its lead drug candidate, Seralutinib, approaches - a potential event that could significantly impact the company's share price.
Seralutinib is an investigational, inhaled, small molecule inhibitor of platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) and mast/stem cell growth factor receptor kit (c-KIT). It is designed to target the mechanisms that underlie pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease and to be delivered to the site of disease via a dry powder inhaler.
