Melissa Etheridge recently released "Bein' Alive," the third single from her upcoming album, Rise. The track arrived with an accompanying music video.
Etheridge and Shooter Jennings co-produced "Bein' Alive," a song with themes of love and hope that offers a reflection on the ups and downs of life while celebrating resilience and survival.
Jennings also appears in the upbeat music video for the song. The visual, shot at Norman's Rare Guitars in Los Angeles, features Jennings, his wife and their dog. Etheridge's wife Linda Wallem directed the video, while Etheridge edited it.
Of the single, Etheridge said, she "wanted people to feel what rock and roll feels like. It's the song that I dream of opening the show with."
The 11-track Rise, which is Etheridge's first studio album in five years, is due out on March 27th via Primary Wave.
